BP- An Official Sponsor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup ™
In June 2008 BP announced that it had signed a contract to be the Official Fuel Sponsor for the 2010 FIFA World Cup ™ and for the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. This is the largest sponsorship deal that BP has undertaken in its 100 year history as an organisation.

This 30 day soccer spectacle popularly dubbed the largest show on earth will be hosted in South Africa, the first time it will be held on African soils in its 80 year history. BP is proud to be the official fuel supplier and sees this partnership as a great marketing opportunity and a fantastic way to demonstrate the BP brand in action on a global platform.

The FIFA Confederations Cup will be held in South Africa from the 14th of June to the 28th of June and will feature 8 teams in an intercontinental championship a captivating teaser ahead of the main event in 2010.
The FIFA World Cup ™ will be held from the 11th of June to the 11th of July 2010 and promises to bring the world to the African continent and take the African continent to the world.
